More information about Stop & Think

Excluded Design starts with creating self-awareness through self-observation. It helps you to Stop & Think about yourself and how you create.

Breathe

In order to apply facets of self-observation to self-awareness, research has been done into the effects of conscious breathing. Conscious breathing causes shifts in your heart rhythm, which has the following effects: positive behavioural change, self-control, flow, more appreciation and compassion.

It also makes you more aware of what is going on at that moment at an emotional level. During Stop & Think, you interact with the breath ball and breathe in and out at the frequency of the breath line.

Introspection

Since it is about 'Who am I', the subject of Introspection has been studied.

Introspection is an activity in which one's own thoughts, feelings and memories are made the topic of reflection.

For example, you think about positive characteristics of yourself. These emotions have an immediate positive effect on your heart rate and your state of mind.

You also write and draw. Because when you write you think more consciously about the words you put on paper. In addition, drawing activates your imagination and your emotions.
